Because I gave up on the blog. I just can't seem to kick my livejournal habit.

Kylie and I were burnin' up today so we decided to go outside and stand on some rocks with our old tap dancing costumes on.

And then we prank called Madonna.

Yesterday we had terrible weather: 55 mph winds, heavy rain, sleet, gross. The wind was coming from the north, thus producing 20 foot waves on the lake. I could actually see the waves crashing over the sea wall from my window. Roads were washed away/flooded and damn was it cold out.

Rewind to 8pm yesterday evening. Three fire trucks, a cop car and an ambulance go flying past in the direction of Presque Isle, a park located about 5 minutes from my apartment. Hmmm, why? Well I'll tell you why...

Two young men, probably college students, were at Presque Isle taking pictures or whatever on Black Rocks, as seen in the pic. This area is full of cliffs and is a pretty fun place to tramp around...only, not in yesterdays weather. So these guys get swept into the lake by the waves and wind. One was lucky enough to make it to shore. The other? They're still looking for his body.

I feel bad about this, really I do. Its terrible and my thoughts go out to the family. But what the fuck were they thinking? There are TWO memorials at the park for this same reason. At the end of each memorial it says "Please learn from so and so's mistake, DON'T GO ON THE CLIFFS OR BREAKWALLS WHEN ITS STORMING BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE" I'm not sure how much clearer this could have been.

My co-worker said today, "If the lake wants you, she'll take you." Gahhh

just gave myself a pedicureate

ate a huge helping of chocolate ice cream

am going to the mall for some coffee and browsing

spent last night eating chilidogs with Zach

bought hot chocolate even though its May

don't have to work until 4am tonight/tomorrow

think its time to paint my nails...pink.

Spring has sprung in the U.P. All the snow is pretty much gone and you know what that means: FLIP FLOPS!!

I'm hoping this is a sign of a fab (read: warm) summer to come.

Arizona a week from Wednesday (!!!).

5 more weeks of school. Hurrah! 7 weeks until summer classes start. Boo.

My back hurts from mopping the doughnut grease, frosting covered bakery floor 42 times a week. Having big boobs also doesn't help.

Zach and I have been fighting a lot this week. A LOT.

I was walking out of work today, got to my car, looked in the window, Oh man! My keys are setting on the passenger side seat IN MY LOCKED CAR. So Zach had to bring me my spare set and I cried a little at how dumb I am.

I'm really looking forward to summer even though I will be taking dumb classes and working 45 hours a week. For some reason just knowing that it will be warm and sunny makes it better. Here's to you, summer of 21.

+ I cut all my hair off. Now I can wear cute scarfy headbands in it.

- My lungs stopped working. I now have two inhalers.

+ Elizabeth is coming to visit Friday.

+ Her sister is going to tell me what kind of blush to buy because I'm too stupid to know on my own.

- I can't believe how nice the weather is downstate. Do you all know how lucky you are? I'm going back to 10 inches of snow.

+ GrooveAdam bought me nice gifts from London and I love them
