On Sunday afternoon two students drowned in Lake Superior. They were swimming back from Picnic Rocks, shown in the above picture and got caught in the strong under current, the water was only 9 feet deep but it was windy that day, making the water extremely choppy. Both students were from out of state and sometimes I get the feeling that people don't know just how dangerous Superior really is. I've seen the lake on numerous occasions produce ocean size waves. Its just a sad situation.
